24 Dicembre 2009: Margherita festeggia per Mzuzu!

Alla festa di compleanno Margherita, una giovanissima cactusiana ha raccolto oltre 500 euro per la scuola di Mzuzu.

Grazie a lei e ai suoi genitori per l'iniziativa e a tutti gli amici che hanno donato!

"Ciao sono Margherita.

Vivo con la mia famiglia in una bella casa ed ho molti giochi e vestiti.

In occasione del mio nono compleanno ho pensato di aiutare Cactus a costruire la scuola di Mzuzu.

Ad amici e compagni ho chiesto di non portarmi un regalo, ma di consegnarmi la rispettiva somma.

Ho raccolto 556,95 € che spero vi aiuteranno parecchio nella costruzione della scuola.

Sono contenta di questo gesto che ho fatto perché tutti i bambini meritano di andare a scuola."

4 Dicembre 2009 : Mechinato e Banda Fratelli - L'Africa a ritmo di folk

Con il patrocinio della Città di Saluzzo, Mechinato e Banda Fratelli hanno suonato a favore di al teatro Don Bosco di Saluzzo il 4 Dicembre. Sono stati raccolti 680 euro (incasso totale 830 euro, di cui 610 donazioni e 220 per iscrizioni - spese per il sevice: 150 euro). la somma è stata devoluta alla costruzione della scuola in Malawi . Grazie ragazzi!!! e complimenti, siete stati bravissimi!!!!

Un grazie particolare a Marta , organizzatrice dell'evento, e a Marianna e Caterina, che si sono avvicendate sul palco presentando la nostra associazione.

8 Dicembre 2009 - Accendiamo il Natale a Verzuolo

ha partecipato insieme ad altre associazioni e gruppi di volontariato alla quindicesima edizione di 'Accendiamo il Natale', la festa del volontariato che si è tenuta l’8 dicembre a Verzuolo presso il palazzo Drago. ha allestito uno stand e ha offerto ai visitatori gadgets provenienti dal Malawi, dal Sudan e dal Kenya e piantine di cactus. I volontari che si sono avvicendati nella giornata hanno raccolto la somma di 1555 euro, di cui 300 per iscrizioni e 1255 per donazioni.

2nd, 3rd, 4th of July 2008. Saluzzo, exhibition 'People: Africa, civil society, changes'

is one of the seven local associations supporting the realisation and organisation of the touring exhibition that would like to inform, bring near and give a sense of responsability to the Italian citizens about the African continent, its values, cultures, history and wealth through the contacts with the African civil societies and the African communities currently in Italy.

31st of May 2008 : 500 Euros with Life for Flying of Segnal'etica at the Dinner organised by the Villanovetta Pro Loco

A portion of the funds collected through the charity dinner organised in one of the squares of the small town of Verzuolo by the A.T. Pro Loco of Villanovetta for the event Life for Flying of the association Segnal'etica have been remitted to and other two local associations. All the beneficaries are involved with projects in Developing Countries. Life for Flying 2008 has been a touching moment for meeting the families and friends of the victims of the road traffic accidents and discuss on the driving experiences of our youth.

8th March 2008 : Newborn Day - Donation from the Verzuolo Municipality

The Verzuolo Municipality has donated 500 Euros to in occasion of the Newborn Day. This occasion celebrates all the newborns in the area in 2007. Cactus onlus was also born in the same year. This financial support wants to represent a solidarity bridge between the babies of Verzuolo and other babies born in more difficult regions of the world.
